Gerald Shamash has been a member of the Labour Party since 1970, and has been Solicitor to the Labour Party for over 20 years. He has been closely involved with legislative reform of electoral law. In this capacity he meets regularly with Ministers and has contributed to a number of consultations including the development of the Electoral Administration Act 2006.
