Rachel is an experienced solicitor within the Family Department having qualified in October 2002. She has experience of advocacy at all levels of the Courts.
Rachel has extensive experience of the full range of family matters with a particular interest in financial and property cases, often involving substantial assets, foreign property, trusts, pension and business interests, arising from both marital and other relationship breakdown.
Rachel also undertakes injunction cases and the full range of private law disputes concerning children, including emergency applications.
Rachel is a trained collaborative lawyer. She is happy to discuss alternative approaches to resolving issues arising from the breakdown of a relationship, especially when there are children involved. These include direct discussions, mediation, and negotiation through solicitors. Collaborative law is a new approach involving a couple and their lawyers working together to find solutions, based on an agreement not to litigate.
Where cases do proceed to court, Rachel has considerable advocacy experience in the Family Proceedings, County and High Courts.
