Geeta Koska is currently a paralegal in the actions against public authorities and public law department where she works with Samuel Genen and Chris Callender. In this role, she assists in bringing urgent judicial review challenges against the prison service. Geeta also has experience in complex group litigation for damages against prisons and private companies, including for trespass to the person and breaches of the Human Rights Act 1998. Geeta also assists in general prison law cases and representing families at inquests.
Prior to joining Steel & Shamash, Geeta worked in organisations in the UK and abroad. At ClientEarth, she contributed to the enforcement of EU chemicals regulation and access to documents. She also gained experience in the field of business and human rights working at the European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights in Germany.
Geeta has published her research on corporate accountability in the context of transitional justice in Restorative Justice: An International Journal, and on a number of different websites.
